hello? is anybody out there?

Well, this is it. My 100th post. I've noticed that some bloggers do creative things for their 100th post, like list 100 random things about themselves, or have a blog give away/contest. I thought about listing 100 random things, but I got stuck on #1. There's a lot of pressure to start a list like that with something really good!

Last week I signed up for google analytics. This allows me to see all sorts of fun stats about who is visiting the blog, where they are from, etc. Over the last week I've had 54 unique visitors to five2eight! While that may not seem like very many compared to some blogs out there who can get up to 100 comments on every post, I was surprised to see that so many people were reading (or at least looking at the pictures) what I've been writing. So, in honor of my 100th post, could you do me a favor? If you read my blog, could you leave me a comment? Let me know who you are!! Do you have a blog? Is there anything you'd like to know about me? Is there anything else you think I should write about? I know that right now I mostly cover our home renovations, but I've been thinking about starting to include other aspects of our lives as well...

When I started this blog, we gave out the address to friends and family to keep up with our home renovations. I thought that they were probably the only people who read this thing (Hi Moms! Hi Grandmas!)... but since I don't think I know that many people, I was just wondering who else reads five2eight.

Thanks :-)

Hi Katie!

I read your blog here and there. I think I found it on This Young House Blog? Not sure.... I love to read about your house renovations and I eagerly look forward to the day when we have a home to decorate and renovate!

We have a blog too that I started to keep in touch with friends from college. It's fun and many more people than just our college friends read it and I too wish people would leave comments!!

Not a blogger, just a reader. Found your blog through google reader recommendations. We recently remodeled an old house ourselves.

Hi Katie, you know me ;) I really do enjoy reading your blog- you've done such a great job on your house and it's so fun to look at the "before and after"s. I think your kitchen is my favorite renovation so far :)

Hey Katie! I read your blog! :) I also convinced myself that I saw you and your two dogs Tuesday night at Francis Park. Could it have been you? The dogs looked like Reece and Cooper but I was pretty far away...

Hey there!

When I started my blog I thought people I knew in real life would read it and no one else. Well it turns out virtually no one I know in real life follows but lots of complete strangers do. Who would have thunk it?

Congrats on your 100th post!!

We do! We do! We love your blog and of course will keep reading. Sometimes we get a few days behind though. It's nice to see so many others are regular readers even if they don't always leave comments. Keep it up!

Congratulations on 100.

I found this blog while researching home improvements. It is one of my daily stops.

I wrote for a blog for about 4 years off and on, but mainly did research. That blog is a super hyper local blog of my pathetic city. That blog is the husbands blog, the first blog in our city and I am very proud of him.

My blog is the direct relationship of our home - this project to re-invent a house - to living in this city and our survival. I love when home renovators talk about the ups and downs of where they live. What their neighborhoods are like. What the vibe of their city is like. What they do for fun, so write what ever you feeling writing.

Hi Katie
I stumbled across this blog today and have enjoyed reading your antics.
It interesting to find out all those 'hidden' problems that arise when taking down wall coverings and the like.
I don't have a blog- only cause I don't think I could keep myself on the one topic for long enough to interest anyone else. Perhaps, one day I'll stop being a 'jack of all trades' and settle on just one...hmmm?
I live in Sydney, Australia and find it interesting to see other homes around the world. I love architecture and love to see what people do with their homes.
cheerio,
Lou
