so, the hallway wallpaper removal has been slow. for such a small amount of paper, it is taking forever. it is just not coming off easily. mike thinks it's worse than the kitchen wallpaper, i think it's about a tie. although i'm pretty sure that at some point someone glued all of the edges down with super glue. wallpaper remover is doing nothing to the glue in those areas. i'm ready to be done with the wallpaper and move on to painting...

i also wanted to give a quick update on the floor situation. as you know, we were planning on installing new floors downstairs sometime this summer. well, after reese's unexpected surgery and some other expenses, (plus a super busy summer with no free weekends!) we decided to push the floor project to the fall. since we decided that we aren't going to be removing the radiators to install the floor, this works out ok. we're still leaning towards the prefinished gunstock floor. we're hoping that we'll be able to order the floors in about a month, and hopefully have them in before thanksgiving! i think the floors are going to make a huge difference in making our downstairs finally seem more complete!
